Turn the photos and videos in your library into 3D you can watch on Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest or any 3D headset — right on your iPhone or iPad. PLAY LIVE • Any video, any length. A whole film, 4K included, plays in Full HD 3D on your VR headset as your iPhone or iPad converts it, from your library, from Files or at a URL. Nothing to convert first, nothing saved, nothing to install on the headset. • Far more than MP4 and MOV: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, FLV, WMV, TS and more; URLs over http, rtsp, rtmp, ftp, smb and sftp. • Line up videos and URLs on your iPhone or iPad, then choose from the headset. Pin what you come back to; pinned items lead the list. • On Apple Vision Pro, the Spatial Video Studio app finds your iPhone or iPad by itself and plays as spatial video, with nothing to type. • Prepare ahead: render a video now so it plays at once later, with seeking. Watched once, it plays again at once. • One library for everything your headset can watch: videos to convert, prepared videos, finished 3D files and URLs, in groups if you like. • Videos on a NAS or another computer play live, join the library or are prepared ahead, without copying them to your device. Servers on your network appear by themselves. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Convert to Apple's spatial format (spatial photos and MV-HEVC spatial video), or to side-by-side and top-bottom 3D for other headsets. • Convert on your device — private, free, and works offline — or in the cloud for the highest quality. • Cloud photos are free every day up to a daily allowance, then priced per photo. Cloud videos are priced per minute, and you see the price before you start. • Set the 3D strength, pick a 3D quality (Standard, Enhanced or Detailed), choose Faster or Sharper Edges, and re-run any item to compare versions. • See how long a video will take before it starts, and switch apps while it converts. • Check the depth before you commit: Anaglyph 3D with red/cyan glasses, or cross-eye. Pinch to zoom in on the details. • Export to Photos, AirDrop or anywhere, and archive finished projects instead of deleting them. MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD • Add photos and videos from your library or from Files. • A layout that adapts from iPhone to iPad, Split View and Stage Manager. • Save to Photos, or AirDrop straight to your headset. Version 10.2.1 plays videos straight from your NAS or another computer, sends finished videos to your Apple Vision Pro, converts your projects faster and keeps your iPhone or iPad cool on long renders. SERVERS • Play videos from a NAS, a Mac or PC, or an FTP or SFTP server, right from the Headset tab. Servers on your network appear by themselves. • The folders you open are remembered, your favourites stay on top, and your login is kept safely in the Keychain. • Play a video live from the server, add it to the library, or prepare it ahead of time, without copying it to your device. PREPARE AHEAD • Prepare a video from a link or a server, not only from your library. • Web links are downloaded before the conversion starts, so links that expire and slow servers no longer cut a render short. Play Live can download first too, with a switch under Playback. • Quit in the middle of a render? Pick up where it stopped, or start over, from the Headset tab. • Keep the device cool, on by default: long renders take regular breaks, so your iPhone or iPad stays cooler, at about half the speed. Turn it off for full speed; the render still eases off when your device gets warm. SEND TO APPLE VISION PRO • Send a finished video from a project or the Headset library straight to Spatial Video Studio on your Apple Vision Pro, over your local network. It plays there on its own, offline, with its 3D settings and dates. • Play from Mac on the headset lists everything your iPhone or iPad can play, with versions and 3D settings on both sides. Needs version 10.2 or later on the headset. PROJECTS, FASTER • Project conversions are faster, up to 4K per eye, and a video whose sound is shorter than its picture now converts to the end. • New projects convert on your device. The cloud stays an option for those who want it. THE HEADSET TAB • Organise the library in groups: put videos in a group, rename them, pin a group or a video, and the headset page shows the same groups. • Finished 3D videos from your projects play on the headset as they are, no conversion needed. • The library lists the newest video first, and a video you play live joins it. • Sharing is now called Share on Local Network: it works on any network your iPhone or iPad and headset share, a hotspot included. FIXES • Long renders no longer slow down over time. • Videos in formats your device cannot decode, such as VP9, now play and prepare. • Play Live and the converter no longer stop the app mid-run.
